Parent Participation Required
MCDL dive meets require every family to provide a parent volunteer for all meets that their diver attends. Most jobs can be quickly mastered by a rookie! We will provide a volunteer training for parents early in the season. One parent from each family must take the MCDL-sponsored training for Judges and Referees. If this presents a hardship for your family, please discuss with the team representatives. Dive meet scores, records and other resources can be found at MCDL website.
Gender Inclusivity Policy
Montgomery County Diving League uses binary gender categories. While MCDL policy supports athletes in competing in the category that aligns most closely with their gender identity, it does not currently offer categories that are a clear fit for agender, nonbinary, genderfluid, or genderqueer athletes. We support these athletes in diving on our team. Unfortunately they will have to choose to compete as “boys” or “girls” for the duration of the 2024 season. We will continue to advocate for full inclusivity in MCDL and all youth sports. Read the MCDL policy here.
